John Arne Riise reacts on Twitter to Liverpool's increased ticket prices

The former Liverpool left-back is unimpressed - like many others.

John Arne Riise believes Liverpool are charging 'way too much' for ticket prices at Anfield.

Indeed, new changes on Merseyside mean some tickets will now be sold for £77 in the Premier League.

And Riise has reacted in similar fashion to Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, who accused the Reds of 'unwarranted avarice.'

Asked by a follower about the ticket prices, the Norwegian responded:

However, Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre has urged Reds fans to 'look at the facts' and insists no one is being priced out of a ticket - as reported by BBC Sport.

Jurgen Klopp's men host Sunderland at Anfield later today for their next Premier League clash.

The Reds' season is fast turning into a major disappointment. However, Klopp has managed to get Liverpool into the Capital One Cup final - and they are still in the FA Cup.

A very poor league season, then, could actually end up with silverware being won...
