Guillem Balague makes a confident claim about Mauricio Pochettino

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Mauricio Pochettino would be a success at Manchester United.

Pochettino was appointed the Tottenham Hotspur head coach in the summer of 2014 and has a contract until June 2019.

The Argentine has done a great job at Spurs so far, and his work at White Hart Lane has reportedly attracted interest from bigger clubs in the Premier League.

According to The London Evening Standard, both Chelsea and Manchester United have long-term interest in Pochettino.

Balague has highlighted Pochettino’s time at Espanyol as justification that that he can do the United job.

Tottenham finished fifth in the Premier League last season and could win the title this campaign.

Chelsea and United are bigger clubs than Spurs, and Pochettino would be under huge pressure if he moved to either of them.

If United fail to end up in the top four, then the Argentine would have a massive rebuilding project on his hands at Old Trafford.
