Gary Lineker reacts on Twitter to Simon Mignolet’s latest Liverpool error

The goalkeeper's mistake allowed Sunderland's Adam Johnson to score in Saturday's 2-2 draw.

BBC presenter Gary Lineker has commented on Twitter following another mistake from Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

The Belgian keeper’ was all set for a clean sheet on Saturday afternoon, with his side leading Sunderland 2-0 at Anfield.

However, he was somehow beaten by an Adam Johnson free kick, which managed to curl into the bottom corner of Mignolet’s net, with many blaming him for the goal.

And writing on Twitter during the game, Lineker joked that he had left the game with the Liverpool fans that exited en masse in protest of the club’s ticket pricing.

This latest mistake is sure to only build upon the resentment currently against Mignolet at Anfield.

The Belgian has not had the best of seasons, with a series of big mistakes having cost his side across this campaign so far.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has thus far remained patient, with the keeper’ even having signed a new five-year deal at the club despite the negativity coming his way.

More mistakes like the one against Sunderland though, and it is likely the German will be adding a new goalkeeper to his already long shopping list for the summer transfer window.
