Aston Villa-owned Gary Gardner is delighted with Nottingham Forest’s win against Leeds United in the Championship.

Aston Villa-owned midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in Nottingham Forest’s victory over Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.

Forest returned to winning ways in the Championship with a 1-0 triumph over Leeds away from home.

Gardner, who joined Forest on loan from Premier League side Villa in the January transfer window, has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the Reds’ win.

Forest striker Dexter Blackstock has also taken to Twitter to revel in the triumph, and so has club chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road, hosts Leeds had 62% of the possession, took 12 shots of which just four were on target, and earned five corners.

Visitors Forest had just 38% of the possession, took 17 shots of which seven were on target, and earned one corner.
