Freedman has made it clear that he has always had the support of Al-Hasawi.
“I’m always very grateful for the chairman’s support,” the Scot told Forest’s official website. “When we were in tough times he was the one who backed us and made sure things stayed stable on the pitch. I value that support.
“We are on an unbeaten run and I think we’ve all got to take credit for that, chairman included, in terms of how we stuck together.”
Forest are 11th in the Championship table at the moment with 39 points from 29 matches. The Reds are nine points behind Ipswich Town, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
There is still a chance that Forest could end up in the playoffs, but for that to happen Freedman’s side need to go on a good run.
Forest will take on Leeds United away from home at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.
The Reds will head into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Premier League outfit Watford at the City Ground in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Leeds are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 29 games.
