Leeds United will face Nottingham Forest in the Championship this weekend.
The West Yorkshire outfit are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 29 matches.
The Whites are 11 points above the relegation zone and 12 points behind sixth-placed Ipswich Town.
It will not be easy for Leeds to clinch a playoff spot this campaign, and centre-back Bamba appears to have given up.
“We’re 12 points away,” the Ivory Coast international told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “There’s a lot of games to play but I’m not going to say we’re going to reach the play-offs or get promotion.
“There’s games to play, we’re professional and we’ve got a job to do – which is winning as many games as possible.”
Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Nottingham Forest at Elland Road in the Championship.
Forest are 11th in the league table at the moment with 39 points from 29 matches, nine points off the playoffs.
The Reds have a better chance than the Whites of finishing in the top six, but if Leeds can put together a run of positive results, then anything is possible.
