Slaven Bilic picks Premier League title winner

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic backs Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has written in The London Evening Standard that Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season.

City are second in the league table at the moment with 47 points from 24 matches. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are just three points behind leaders Leicester City, and two ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, who are currently third and fourth respectively.

Bilic believes that the Citizens will win the league title this season despite the fact that Pellegrini will leave in the summer.

“There has been a debate over the past few days about how Manchester City’s players will react to Manuel Pellegrini’s public acknowledgment that he will leave the club at the end of this season,” the West Ham boss wrote in The London Evening Standard.

“I’ll tell you what I think — I believe City will win the Premier League because those players will 100 per cent want to do it for their manager in the remaining games.”

City have the best squad in England, and they should be favourites to win the Premier League title this campaign.

The problem is that the Citizens have struggled defensively from time to time and have been inconsistent.

Sergio Aguero and David Silva have been superb for Pellegrini’s side when fit, but the former Premier League champions appear to struggle when Vincent Kompany does not play.
