Sunderland will face Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has taken to social networking site Twitter to urge the fans to cheer the players against Liverpool this weekend.

The Black Cats will take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Allardyce has urged the Sunderland supporters to out-sing the home fans and has posted the following message on Twitter:

Sunderland will head into the game against Liverpool on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 24 matches.

Allardyce’s side are four points behind 17th-placed Norwich City and are in danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool currently find themselves eighth in the standings with 34 points from 24 matches.

The Merseyside outfit are 11 points behind Arsenal, who are fourth in the Premier League table and occupy the final Champions League spot.
