Former Newcastle striker Owen has backed the home team to register a victory and pick up all three points.
“West Brom needed an injury-time equaliser to earn a share of the spoils with Swansea at the Hawthorns and will struggle to get out of jail again in the North-East,” the former England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Newcastle to win at 23/20 with BetVictor.”
Newcastle are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from 24 matches.
Steve McClaren’s side are two points behind 17th-placed Norwich City and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, West Brom currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League table with 29 points from 24 games.
Tony Pulis’s side will head into the match against Newcastle on the back of a 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Swansea City at The Hawthorns in the league.
