Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a surprise summer exit from Liverpool, with The Mirror claiming he is keen on a fresh start.
The striker has played in just six games this season, and his continual injury problems over the past two seasons have been a constant source of frustration for fans.
Sturridge is claimed to be fed up with criticism of his injury record, and with both parties frustrated, a clean break could be for the best,
Yet with a contract which runs until June 2019, moving on will not be so simple, especially considering he will still be valued above £20 million.
Finding a club to pay this considering his injury record over the past two seasons may not be simple, and then you have to factor in whether he would be able to pass a medical.
If Liverpool can get Sturridge fully fit and in the right place mentally, then they have a major asset on their hands, and what happens between now and the end of the season could be crucial in deciding his future - especially with a place with England at Euro 2016 an option if everything goes right.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to claims Sturridge wants out...
Albeit rumours, selling Sturridge would be ludicrous, the only world-class striker we have at the club #LFC— Mayank Adhye (@MayankAdhye) February 5, 2016
If these rumours on Sturridge are true & he is angered by his injury portrayal, then the arrogance is telling. Sell him I say. #LFC— Sam I Am (@samstanton7) February 5, 2016

This Sturridge stuff sounds like rubbish to me. So a few fans and ex players are frustrated with him. Who cares. #LFC— Karl Merriman (@KMacDW) February 5, 2016
I'd be gutted if we get rid of Sturridge due to injuries that he will overcome! On his day he is one of the best strikers in the league #LFC— Simon Hands (@SimonHands22) February 4, 2016
