Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Daniel Sturridge transfer talk

Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge is reported to be keen to quit the club.

Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a surprise summer exit from Liverpool, with The Mirror claiming he is keen on a fresh start.

The striker has played in just six games this season, and his continual injury problems over the past two seasons have been a constant source of frustration for fans.

Several Premier League sides are likely to be interested in his signature, and the Reds could have a big decision to make if he starts pressuring the club behind the scenes for a move.

Sturridge is claimed to be fed up with criticism of his injury record, and with both parties frustrated, a clean break could be for the best,

Yet with a contract which runs until June 2019, moving on will not be so simple, especially considering he will still be valued above £20 million.

Finding a club to pay this considering his injury record over the past two seasons may not be simple, and then you have to factor in whether he would be able to pass a medical.

If Liverpool can get Sturridge fully fit and in the right place mentally, then they have a major asset on their hands, and what happens between now and the end of the season could be crucial in deciding his future - especially with a place with England at Euro 2016 an option if everything goes right.

Here is a look at how Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to claims Sturridge wants out...
