The Celtic icon wants more entertainment from the current side.

Frank McAvennie claims he has never seen 'so many' Rangers supporters looking 'so happy' when Celtic play, according to the Glasgow Evening Times.

Indeed, the former Bhoys forward is getting tired of Ronny Deila's negative tactics and his team's poor performances - only for the Norwegian to then tell fans he is entertaining them.

And he thinks only Rangers fans are entertained.

McAvennie is quoted as saying by GET: "I don’t think they’ll get rid of him, I think he’ll be there for the long haul. But play two up front and try to get some of the crowd back.

"He keeps saying we’re entertaining but the last two games weren’t entertaining. They were if you’re not a Celtic supporter. I’ve never seen so many Rangers supporters looking so happy."

McAvennie also stated the fact he 'likes' boss Deila but that he was certain the Norwegian wasn't cut out for life at Parkhead when he arrived - something he says he was 'slaughtered for' 18 months ago.

The need to be more attacking is certainly paramount at Celtic. The players have lacked bottle of late and been as dire as the some of the manager's tactics.

But, ultimately, if Celtic take the game to their opponents and attack, showcasing their superiority in terms of quality, they will flatten anyone in Scotland - and Rangers fans wouldn't be so happy watching them anymore.

They just haven't been doing that... And Deila playing one up top doesn't help.
