ESPN pundit explains why Leicester have a better chance than Tottenham

Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Arsenal are all aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol said on the ESPN FC show on BT Sport/ESPN on Wednesday afternoon (February 3) that Leicester City have a better chance of winning the Premier League title this season than Tottenham Hotspur.

“I think Leicester have got a better chance of winning (the title) than Spurs,” said the former Liverpool defender.

“They are sitting at the top of the table, they are playing good football, they are scoring goals, they have got more points than everybody else, they have got Vardy and Mahrez who are absolutely flying.”

Leicester are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 24 matches, five points above Tottenham, who are currently third.

Manchester City are second with 47 points, while Arsenal are level on points with North London rivals Spurs but a place behind on goal difference.

For most Premier League observers, City and Arsenal will be the top two favourites for the title, but both Leicester and Spurs have to be taken seriously.

Leicester’s bubble has yet to burst, and there is a very good chance that it will not in the coming weeks.

Tottenham have a better team and better players than the Foxes, but the way Claudio Ranieri’s side have played so far this campaign cannot be ignored.
