The Villans will take on Norwich at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Former Villa striker Gray has backed the home team to pick up all three points from the encounter.
“Norwich have conceded 14 goals in the last four games,” the former Scotland international wrote on Paddypower.com. “Somehow they are still outside the relegation zone.
“Villa are drinking in the last chance saloon. If they don’t win against Norwich, you can serve them their last drink. A loss would mean the gap would be 13 points.”
A footnote added: “Andy’s bet: Aston Villa 2-1 Norwich.”
Villa will head into the game against Norwich on the back of a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United away from home in London.
Remi Garde’s side are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with 13 points from 24 matches.
The Villans look doomed for relegation, but a win against Norwich on Saturday afternoon could give them some hope.
The Canaries themselves are in danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season. Norwich are just two points above the bottom three and have lost their last four league matches.
Villa have registered just one victory in their last 12 Premier League home fixtures, scoring just eight goals in that run.
