Josh Onomah agreed a new long-term contract with Tottenham.

Josh Onomah signed a long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday afternoon.

The talented midfielder, 18, agreed a new deal which ties him down until 2020, establishing himself as one of the best rated youth talents in the Tottenham academy.

An attacking midfielder, capped at various youth levels by England, Onomah has featured sparingly this season.

Mauricio Pochettino clearly rates Onomah highly, and he has had no issue with selecting the teenage talent in his first-team.

He has made six substitute appearances in the Premier League, and has started one game in each of the Europa League and FA Cup. In total, the youngster has managed 13 appearances in all competitions this term.

The long-term contract ensures that Onomah is tied down at White Hart Lane for the foreseeable future, and it proves that Pochettino continues to retain a keen interest in developing youth players into first-team stars.

Following the confirmation of the news that Onomah has agreed a new contract, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to show their delight at the move to tie down such an exciting prospect for the future.
