The Leeds defender has been discussing his comeback from a small recent injury.

Leeds United centre-back Sol Bamba says he is better than he thought after cramping up during the weekend against Bolton Wanderers, according to LUTV.

And the 31-year-old says he's the happiest man in the world when he's on the pitch for Leeds.

The Ivorian told LUTV: "Better, I just finished training today. It was better than I thought - just cramp.

"I'm the happiest man in the world when I'm on the pitch."

There was the odd rumour about defenders leaving Leeds during the transfer window - but Steve Evans was adjudged to have been happy with his centre-backs, especially if a replacement wasn't available.

Bamba has always been an interesting case at Leeds. A leader who wears his heart on his sleeve and isn't afraid to speak out against things he doesn't like at the club, the Ivorian can be Premier League quality at his best. And not necessarily the bottom half of the Premier League.

Much like with any player in the Championship, though, it's about keeping that kind of form up. The 31-year-old has produced some poor performances so far this season...
