The former Manchester United defender's face said it all...

Gary Neville may not want to continue in management for very long, if his mind was not made up already.

Last night he suffered the worst result of his career as either a player or manager, as Valencia were hammered 7-0 by a rampant Barcelona.

Lionel Messi scored three goals, while Luis Suarez ran riot, netting four of his own.

The Copa del Rey was the one bright spark of Neville's reign at Valencia so far, with a cup run a slight distraction from their poor La Liga form, but Barcelona were ruthless last night as they continued a strong defence of the trophy.

Valencia fans were already dismayed with Neville's poor run as manager, and this result will not do him any favours.

Barcelona's performance was also a stark warning to a faltering Arsenal, who they face in the Champions League in three weeks time.

The bad news for Neville? They must play Valencia in the second leg, at home, in one week's time. They will be playing for pride, but lose badly and it could get ugly.
