The Rams have taken just three points from the last 18 available to them in the Championship, and they were also beaten by Manchester United in the FA Cup last month.
And Clement believes his side’s poor run of form is down to the squad being low on confidence, new signings joining, and a lack of cohesiveness in the team.
"I think it is down to a whole wide range of things," he said.
"New players coming in, that cohesiveness of the team, and confidence, yes, absolutely."
Derby’s most recent match was against Preston North End, and they failed to even have a shot on target during that contest.
The Rams were held to a 0-0 draw, which has seen them slip even further away from the automatic promotion spaces.
Derby are now down in fifth place in the Championship table, and they have a five point gap to make up, if they are to catch up with second placed Middlesbrough.
Clement’s side are next in action against struggling Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, and they will be desperate to get back to winning ways to get their promotion push back on track.
