Southampton will take on West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Owen, who also played for Newcastle United, believes that the match will finish 1-1.
“West Ham won the reverse fixture 2-1 in December and are now five points clear of seventh-placed Southampton in the table after their win against Villa on Tuesday night,” the former England international has written on Colossusbets.com.
“And they have only lost three league games on the road. But Southampton are playing well again and I favour a 1-1 draw.”
Southampton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 24 matches.
The Saints are 11 points behind fourth-placed Arsenal and appear to be out of the running for a Champions League place.
Ronald Koeman’s side will head into Saturday evening’s match on the back of a goalless draw with Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
Meanwhile, West Ham currently find themselves sixth in the Premier League table with 39 points from 24 matches.
Slaven Bilic’s side are six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal and could still end up in the top four.
The London outfit will head into the game against Southampton on the back of a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at home in the league.
