The former Arsenal centre-back has been discussing the north London side after a few weeks off.
Indeed, while Keown is often described as clueless by Tottenham or West Ham fans, he knows a thing or two about the club he won Premier League titles with.
And it's the ability to do just that that's lacking from this current Arsenal team, he says.
The pundit believes the Gunners find themselves in a 'comfort zone' far too often - resting on their laurels after a good run of form.
Keown told the Mail: "That’s the trouble with this team - too often they find themselves in a comfort zone. After finding form and getting on a roll they think they’ve won something when they’ve won nothing. That’s when you have to question their hunger."
Meanwhile, the former Arsenal defender also singled out centre-back Gabriel Paulista for criticism.
He added: "At the back I think Gabriel is trying to prove he’s a good option but I often think less is more, defensively. Flying into headers and tackles can create panic when what you really need is calm."
The Gunners travel to Bournemouth for their next league clash this weekend.
Arsene Wenger's men will be under intense pressure if they fail to bounce back against the Cherries. But this already looks destined for another disappointing season. Disappointing for those who want more than a top-four finish, of course, although perhaps Arsenal can soften the blow with a hat-trick of FA Cups.
