Josh Onomah tweets delight at Tottenham contract extension; West Ham’s Reece Oxford sends message

Josh Onomah has signed a long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

Josh Onomah sent a message on his personal Twitter account yesterday, showing his delight at signing a new long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

The 18-year-old midfielder only signed a new deal back in the summer, but he has been granted another extension to tie him down at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2020.

An exciting talented, Onomah has found himself part of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team this season.

The English youth international has played 13 games in all competitions, making starts in both the Europa League and FA Cup.

He has not started in the Premier League, but has been rotated frequently as a squad member, and is now seen as a member of the senior team who Pochettino can rely on.

It is an exceptional rise for the young attacking midfielder, and he will be looking to grow upon his contract by making more and more appearances as the season goes on.

Following the confirmation of the deal, Onomah was congratulated by an England youth international teammate, West Ham’s Reece Oxford.

Oxford, who made his Hammers debut this season and is considered one of the best young players in English football, sent a message to Onomah on Twitter to congratulate him on signing the new deal.
