Celtic were beaten 2-1 by Aberdeen to cut their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership last night.
John Hartson has slated Celtic’s defending on Twitter after the Bhoys were beaten 2-1 by Aberdeen at Pittodrie last night.
Ronny Deila’s side have struggled to deal with corners all season, and it was once again their downfall yesterday evening.
After conceding a belter to Jonny Hayes, Celtic then allowed Simon Church to bundle home from a set piece and Hartson was less than impressed by his old side’s defensive efforts.
Celtic cannot defend any decent ball that comes into their box.. It's cost them time and time again.. It's called defensive responsibily.— John Hartson (@JohnHartson10) February 3, 2016
Celtic’s defeat to Aberdeen has increased the pressure on Deila, and even a late goal from Leigh Griffiths was scant consolation.
The Bhoys were dumped out of the Scottish League Cup by Ross County last weekend, and this loss to the Dons has created further frustration.
Celtic are now just three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and there are fears that they could be caught.
The Bhoys’ next fixture comes against East Kilbride in the Scottish Cup, and it is a match which Deila simply cannot afford to lose.
