IK Start youngster Kristoffer Ajer has been quoted by the Scotsman saying that he has been thinking about a move to Celtic a lot.
Ajer was on trial with the Bhoys in the January, but Ronny Deila’s side did not manage to complete a deal before the close of the January transfer window.
The central midfielder has now returned back to IK Start, but the 17-year-old admits that he is dreaming of a move to Parkhead.
“I admit there have been training sessions where I’ve been thinking about the move to Celtic a lot,” Ajer said. “A move would have been good but I’m happy here.”
According to the Scottish Sun, Ajer impressed while on trial with the Bhoys - and he was expected to complete a move to the SPFL champions.
However, the deal was never completed and the 17-year-old is now expected to remain with IK Start until the end of the season.
The Scotsman does suggest that the central midfielder is likely to move to Celtic in the summer, however, so his wish may still come true.
If Celtic did land Ajer it would be quite a coup for Deila’s side, as the Norwegian youngster is one of the most sought-after prospects in the whole of Europe.
