Middlesbrough supporters have been left disappointed after Kike agreed to move to Eibar earlier today.
Kike had looked set for a move back to Spain on deadline day, but a switch collapsed at the last minute.
However, Eibar have now agreed terms with Middlesbrough for the forward, and the transfer was officially confirmed earlier today.
Kike has slipped down the pecking order at the Riverside Stadium due to the arrival of Jordan Rhodes, and it seemed that his chances of being in Aitor Karanka’s side for the rest of the season were very slim.
The 26-year-old has only six goals in 24 appearances this season, but Boro fans were still disappointed to see him depart.
Kike enjoyed a fine debut season in English football last campaign, and he remains fondly thought of by fans of the North East club.
