Manchester United eased to victory over Stoke City on Tuesday.
Manchester United picked up all three points against Stoke City on Tuesday, remaining in the hunt for a top four finish.
Jesse Lingard opened the scoring after 14 minutes, with Anthony Martial netting a lovely finish to double the lead less than 10 minutes later.
Wayne Rooney rounded off the win in the second half, continuing his firm form in front of goal in 2016.
The victory saw the Red Devils playing some of the best football they have turned out this season, and it raised excitement at Old Trafford for the first time in months.
One performer who seriously impressed for United was Cameron Northwick-Jackson, the 19-year-old academy graduate who was playing at left-back this season.
He has been used sparingly by Louis van Gaal this term, and this performance v Stoke was arguably his best of the campaign.
He registered the assist for the opening goal, and put in a strong performance as both a defensive and attacking full-back.
It was a solid performance by the youngster, and United fans took to Twitter to react to his appearance against Stoke.

Borthwick-Jackson has been a revelation. Him linking up with Martial on the left is what made us look like an entirely different side.— John (@ThatBoyMartial) February 3, 2016

I think Borthwick-Jackson has a lot of growing left to do, but you have to like what you’ve seen for the most part. great depth for Shaw.— Charles (@TheBusbyBoys) February 3, 2016
