Kyle Ebecilio has sent a message to Nottingham Forest fans after his loan dean was cancelled.
The midfielder's deal was terminated by mutual consent on transfer deadline day, allowing him to link up with Dutch side Ado Den Haag until the rest of the season.
Ebecilio's loan did not pan out as any party would have hoped, and his last appearance came back in October.
Despite this he felt appropriate to send a message of thanks to fans of the Championship fans.
Ebecilio made only five appearances for Nottingham Forest, and moving on was the right call, to allow him to go and play regularly.
The former Arsenal youngster is still only 21-years-old, and perhaps his struggles in the Championship vindicated his decision to quit the Gunners and return to his homeland. He may not so readily be willing to make the jump back to England again.
He had left Forest a month earlier, returning to FC Twente, but the Dutch club were unwilling to cancel his loan agreement, needing him having to find a new club willing to cover his wages.
His departure potentially allows Forest to bring in another signing when the emergency loan window opens next week.
