Kevin Wimmer sends message on Twitter following full Premier League debut; Kane and Alli also react to Spurs win

Kevin Wimmer made his first Premier League start for Spurs on Tuesday.

Spurs eased their way to a 3-0 win on Tuesday evening, picking up all three points against Norwich City.

Dele Alli continued his fine form by opening the scoring inside two minutes, before Harry Kane netted a penalty after 30 minutes.

Kane rounded off the victory in injury time of the second half, moving Tottenham into third place - and above local rivals Arsenal in the league table.

The game was a classic Spurs performance under Mauricio Pochettino, and it will remain a memorable fixture for one Tottenham player.

Kevin Wimmer made his full Premier League debut in the game, starting his first league game due to the injury to Jan Vertonghen.

Wimmer made his first Premier League appearance in the win over Crystal Palace last week, and has played in the Europa League, but this was his first league start.

Thankfully, the Austrian impressed alongside Toby Alderweireld. He fitted naturally into Vertonghen’s left-footed centre-back berth, and was arguably the best of all four defenders.

Most noticeably, Spurs have yet to concede a Premier League goal whilst Wimmer has been on the pitch.

Following the game, the 23-year-old took to his personal Twitter account to react to the victory.

Goal heroes Kane and Alli also reacted to the win, as Spurs stay in the race for the Premier League title.
