Crystal Palace lost 2-1 to Bournemouth on Tuesday - but fans praised Emmanuel Adebayor and Wilfried Zaha.
Crystal Palace's woeful form continued with a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth - but fans praised Emmanuel Adebayor and Wilfried Zaha at full time.
Palace went into the game having picked up two points from their previous six games, and now it's five defeats in a row for Alan Pardew's men.
It all started so well for the Eagles, as Scott Dann put Palace in front in the first half, but goals in each half from Marc Pugh and Benik Afobe gave Bournemouth a vital win.
These are dismal times for Palace, and with key players such as Yohan Cabaye and Yannick Bolasie out injured, there isn't much for fans to shout about right now.
However, supporters did take to Twitter after the game to praise the performances of two players - Wilfried Zaha and new signing Emmanuel Adebayor.
Zaha was electric out wide, terrorising the Bournemouth pace with his defence, and he notched an assist for Dann's goal with a cross into the box. He also created a host of chances in the second half, but none of his team-mates could take the chances when they came their way - but fans believe Zaha should be back in the England squad after such a superb display.
Meanwhile, ex-Tottenham striker Adebayor, who joined the club on a free transfer last month, was making his debut in a Palace shirt, and went close with a late shot which rippled the side netting.
Fans were impressed with his cameo role as a substitute, and believe he should start in Palace's away trip to Swansea this weekend, with Pardew desperately looking for somebody to put chances away in front of goal.
Here are some of the reactions from Palace fans after Adebayor and Zaha impressed against Bournemouth on Tuesday night...
Wilf was absolutely amazing today. Definitely MOTM. Lee was quality as well, don't know why he was subbed off. Adebayor looked good #cpfc

If Adebayor turns out not to be the answer I can't see #cpfc winning another game all season. Sad times for #crystalpalace

2 positives from tonight... Zaha looks on fire & Adebayor looked decent... Apart from that feeling pretty broken right now #cpfc

Our form is bloody shocking! Wilf played very well and Adebayor was a significant improvement when he came on. We need points though. #cpfc

Regardless of the game Adebayor had a promising debut, Zaha was good but could be great, needs to keep his cool and not lose his head. #cpfc

Gotta say i like the look of Adebayor, looks good considering his not match fit, a few more games and he'll be frightening upfront #cpfc

Zaha should be playing for England. Best player on the pitch tonight. #cpfc

Wilfried Zaha v Bournemouth. I'm struggling to think of a greater one man performance at Selhurst. #CPFC

#cpfc Positives: Zaha outstanding again, Chungy (why was he taken off?) and glimpses of what's to come from Adebayor...has to start on Sat!
