Sheffield Wednesday made it 14 games unbeaten at Hillsborough by drawing with Burnley yesterday evening.
After drawing with Burnley last night, Wednesday have now gone unbeaten through their last 14 matches at Hillsborough.
And Carvalhal feels that the atmosphere that Wednesday supporters are creating at their home ground is helping his side’s players to thrive.
“This is because everyone is together and I say thank you to everyone because we have made Hillsborough our strong home,” the Portuguese boss said. “My staff have been incredible and also everybody else around me and in the club.
“The environment we have created is positive at our home and the longer we can extend that, the better.”
Wednesday’s resilience in front of their own supporters was once again highlighted last night, as they came from behind to get a point against Burnley.
The Clarets took the lead through Andre Gray early on, and at that point Wednesday’s supporters could have turned on their team.
However, the Owls’ fans remained positive and they got their reward for their support, when Kieran Lee slammed home an equaliser in the second half.
The draw has lifted Wednesday up to seventh place in the Championship table, just one point away from the play off places.
