The Bayern Munich boss is set to replace Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.
The manager confirmed on Monday that he would be joining the Premier League side in the summer; with current incumbent Manuel Pellegrini set to leave.
The announcement was arguably one of the highlights of the busy transfer deadline day, with City fans now eagerly counting down the days until the former Barcelona boss arrives in England.
And Sinclair is among those who is excited, saying that when you look at the recruitment possibilities, that is what really gets you excited.
"It’s a massive, massive statement from the club,” he told BBC Sport.
“City are huge already but this is them setting out exactly where they want to go,” He's the hottest manager out there. Every club would want him.”
“And when you look at the recruitment possibilities now, that's where you really start to get excited. He'll be able to bring in some huge players.”
The City hierarchy will now be hoping that the appointment of Guardiola can push forward their ambitions for success in the Champions League.
It is well known that those in charge of the club crave European success alongside domestic success, with them looking for tangible reward for the money they have put into the club.
Appointing Guardiola is a huge step to that, with him having enjoyed success in the competition before now with Barcelona and them sure to be hoping he replicates that at the Etihad.
