The Black Cats face the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, West Ham United and Manchester United this month.
The Black Cats are set to embark on a run of tough fixtures, as they take on Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and West Ham United in February alone.
They are expected to not come out of this month with many points to their name then, given they have been handed such a hard stretch of games.
However, M’Vila is insistent that they can overcome the odds and pick up more points than people are expecting.
“That’s what is fantastic about the Premier League, you can beat anyone or be beaten against anyone,” he told safc.com.
“So playing against the Manchester sides and Liverpool it gives us a special motivation.”
“Perhaps everyone expects us to lose matches like this, but I think we’re more relaxed when we play the big teams because we have nothing to lose and that in itself gives us more motivation.”
Manager Sam Allardyce will certainly be hopeful his side can pick up some points across this next month, as hard as that may be.
A series of losses would be a disaster; with it likely to see them cut adrift in the relegation zone. They are currently four points from safety, but failure to pick up any points over February could see them in serious danger come March.
A positive for them though, is that the likes of Norwich City and Newcastle United also have tough fixtures, as is the standard in the Premier League, and they will be hoping they can stay within touching distance at least.
