Stan Collymore says that he is a huge fan of Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Collymore has stated that there are no great managers anymore, and that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Pochettino are the only two current managers he would back to have success without money.
Pochettino has made a huge impression at both Southampton and Tottenham in English football, and Collymore has been impressed by his strategy.
And reducing squad size to spend more coaching hours with players, keeping a tight unit he can monitor @MexicoSpurs . I like him a lot.— Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore) February 1, 2016
Pochettino’s coaching strength has really come to the fore at White Hart Lane, with numerous players processing under his stewardship.
The likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli receive the most recognition for the improvements they have made, but even senior players have come on leaps and bounds.
The likes of Mousa Dembele and Kyle Walker are just two of the older players in Spurs’ squad to have shown their best form under the Argentine boss.
And, due to Pochettino’s success, Tottenham are now looking like one of the most formidable teams in the Premier League - with the North London side currently just five points behind top of the table Leicester City.
