Sheffield Wednesday striker Sergiu Bus has joined Salernitana on loan until the end of the season.
Sheffield Wednesday supporters have had a mixed reaction to the news that Sergiu Bus has completed a loan move to Salernitana.
Bus was brought to Wednesday in January 2015, but his first 12 months at Hillsborough have been rather disappointing.
The 23-year-old has made just 10 appearances in 12 months for the Owls, and he slipped further down the pecking order following the arrival of Gary Hooper from Norwich City on a permanent deal.
Bus seemed unlikely to have much of a chance of breaking back into Carlos Carvalhal’s side this season, and the Yorkshire club have therefore sent him out to Salernitana, who play their football in Italy’s Serie B.
Bus’s departure is unlikely to have much of an impact on Wednesday’s first-team, as he has only made three appearances this season.
However, some Owls supporters are slightly disappointed that he has not been given more of a chance.
Here is the best reaction to Bus’s move away from Wednesday on loan on social media site Twitter.
Was hoping bus would go on loan to a English club but hope he comes back stronger and given a chance #swfc @carloscarvalha2

@dianstanchev Sergiu Bus has left SWFC on loan mate. Never really happened for him here. Glimpses of potential, but not enough.

Best of luck to Sergiu Bus with his loan spell. Plain and simple not good enough for us in my opinion #swfc

From what I saw of Bus he run about a bit but never looked much good, hence club 3rd bottom of Serie B. #swfc

Bus came with a big reputation as a goalscorer then never got a chance to show it. Shame really but never going to get that chance now #swfc
