Leicester will move to sign Clement Chantome of Bordeaux in the summer, the Mirror report on their live transfer blog at 17:14.
Chantome has a contract which expires at the end of this season, and the Foxes are ready to capitalise to bring him in this summer.
The 28-year-old was a target for Claudio Ranieri in the January window, but he failed to bring him in, and the Premier League leaders will return for Chantome in the summer.
Ranieri is said to be confident that Chantome will agree a move to the King Power Stadium when his contract expires.
Who is Clement Chantome?
Chantome is a 28-year-old midfielder, who naturally plays in a holding told for Bordeaux. He has been capped once for France.
He started his career with PSG, playing 235 games for the club before leaving for Bordeaux in January 2015, and featuring 38 times for the club.
This season, Chantome has played 16 times in Ligue 1. He has averaged 2.8 successful tackles, 2.1 interceptions and 2.3 clearances per game, whilst managing a passing completion average of 88.7%.
