Villa are currently 10 points adrift of safety, but Garde is refusing to give up hope.
The French boss claims that he has been encouraged by Villa’s recent performances, and he believes his side can pick up a result against West Ham United this evening.
"I still believe we can win two or three games in a row - then we will be back on track," Garde said.
"I will be lifting my players. They give me a lot of hope in the previous weeks and the previous games.
"I liked the way we fought with our tools - what we can do - we were at the maximum and I expect no less than that. We should be able to do it again.
"We can still win games. Sometimes it's difficult. But we have to take each game like cup matches.
For Villa to win three matches in a row would require a huge improvement in their form.
The Claret and Blues have only been victorious in two of their first 23 Premier League matches this season, leaving their chances of staying up looking very slim.
Villa have only lost one of their last six matches in all competitions, however, which offers some form of encouragement.
For Garde’s men to beat West Ham this evening, they will have to seriously upset the odds.
The Hammers have been in impressive form this term, and currently occupy sixth spot in the top flight standings.
