West Ham fans have recently criticised Lawrenson for his predictions about the club, as he regularly suggests that Slaven Bilic's men will lose - but that isn't the case this time.
The Hammers still have a number of injury problems, but will be hoping to build on some impressive results of late, having won three of their last five Premier League games.
A 0-0 draw against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Saturday was another solid defensive display from Bilic's side, and tonight they take on a struggling Aston Villa team.
Remi Garde's men sit bottom of the Premier League table and are ten points adrift of safety, with fans frustrated after the club made no January signings at all.
Just over a month since the two sides drew 1-1 at Villa Park, Villa now need to head to East London and pick up all three points - but Lawrenson doesn't think that will happen.
Lawrenson told BBC Sport that he thinks West Ham 'definitely won't slip up' against Villa, and is backing them to win the game 2-0, and continue their fine form.
"The mistakes Aston Villa made in their FA Cup defeat by Manchester City were a reminder of their shortcomings," said Lawrenson. "They were also a reality check for anyone who thought Remi Garde's side had a serious chance of staying up on the back of their recent upturn in form."
"West Ham keep on getting good results when I expect them to slip up, and they remain on track for the top six. I definitely do not see them slipping up on Tuesday," he added.
