Taking a look at all Newcastle United's recent additions.
Given Newcastle United’s current position in the Premier League it was no surprise to see them busy in the January transfer market.
The Magpies are currently 18th in the league with 21 points from 23 matches, and while they have shown signs of resurgence under manager Steve McClaren they remain deep in a relegation scrap.
However, that could soon change given the quality of their January additions.
Andros Townsend has a big point to prove – and a Euro 2016 place to fight for – following his move from Tottenham Hotspur, while Newcastle have significantly strengthened their central midfield with the additions of Henri Saivet and Jonjo Shelvey.
But arguably the pick of the bunch is striker Seydou Doumbia, who has joined on loan from AS Roma for the rest of the season.
The Ivorian is prolific in front of goal and if he hits the ground running he could fire Newcastle up the table, while his experience will also be invaluable for youngsters Ayoze Perez and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
