Peterborough United chairman shares his opinion of Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi after public dispute

Peterborough United's and Nottingham Forest's owners had a public dispute over Britt Assombalonga's transfer.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that he has repaired his relationship with Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi.

The Posh and Forest chiefs had a public dispute over the Britt Assombalonga transfer.

Assombalonga joined Forest from Posh back in 2014, but MacAnthony was frustrated with late payments from the Championship side.

Forest were said to have delayed over paying Posh over £1 million, by the Daily Mail, and MacAnthony went public with his frustrations.

After MacAnthony’s announcement, Forest did eventually pay their debts, with Posh receiving the full fee they were expecting for the front man.

And MacAnthony seems to suggest that he would be willing to do business with Forest again, should the opportunity arise.

Since moving to Forest, Assmobalonga has made 29 Championship appearances and scored 15 times, but he has been out with injury for over a year.
