West Ham will take on Villa at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
Owen has backed the Hammers to win the game and pick up all three points.
“There haven’t been many goals between the sides in recent meetings (5 in the last 5 games) but I just fancy the Irons’ to take the points and put behind what I thought was an ordinary performance, but decent result at Anfield in the FA Cup on Saturday,” the former Liverpool and Manchester United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: West Ham to win at 10/11.”
West Ham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 23 matches.
The London outfit are just six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, and there is a chance that they could end up in the Champions League places.
Slaven Bilic’s side will head into the game against Villa on the back of a goalless draw with Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Villa currently find themselves at the foot of the Premier League table with just 13 points from 23 matches.
Remi Garde’s side look doomed for relegation, and they will be underdogs for Tuesday’s game.
The Villans will head into the match against West Ham in London on the back of a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City at Villa Park in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
