Everton snapped up Lokomotiv Moscow forward Oumar Niasse on deadline day.

Everton confirmed on their official website on Monday that they have splashed out £13.5m on Lokomotiv Moscow forward Oumar Niasse.

The Toffees had signed Swiss Under-21 international Shani Tarashaj earlier in the transfer window, but loaned him back Grasshopper Zurich until the end of the season - but Roberto Martinez was still keen to add a new face as deadline day arrived.

With just hours to go, Everton did pull a signing out of the hat, as Senegal international forward Oumar Niasse penned a four-year-deal after signing from Lokomotiv Moscow.

The Toffees confirmed that Niasse, 25, has cost £13.5m, and he has been signed to add some more pace and goals to the Everton attack.

With 19 goals in 42 appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow and four caps for Senegal, Niasse arrives with a strong reputation, and fans took to Twitter to give their views on the deal.

Supporters are keen to see speedy Niasse in action, but are incredibly concerned that he has been signed as a replacement for star striker Romelu Lukaku, who is bound to attract interest in the summer.

Others don't want to see Roberto Martinez shift the forward to play on the left hand side of midfield, but some are keen to see him offer some attacking support for goal machine Lukaku.
