Djibril Cisse has message for Sunderland fans regarding Wahbi Khazri

Sunderland signed Wahbi Khazri from Bordeaux in the January transfer window.

Former Liverpool and Marseille striker Djibril Cisse has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Wahbi Khazri will be a success at Sunderland.

Khazri joined the Premier League side from Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux in the January transfer window.

Cisse, who played on loan for Sunderland from Marseille during the 2008-09 season, has backed 24-year-old to turn on the style at the Stadium of Light.

Khazri is a Tunisia international attacking midfielder and has been signed by Sunderland in order to add creativity to the Black Cats’ game.

The former Bastia man scored five goals and created 53 chances in 20 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux this season.

Khazri had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 61%, and won 17 headers, 33 dribbles and 35 tackles.

Sunderland are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 23 matches.

Sam Allardyce’s side are four points behind 17th-placed Norwich City and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
