Werder Bremen reportedly agree £500,000 transfer fee with Tottenham for Milos Veljkovic

The Tottenham Hotspur youngster looks like he is moving on.

According to a report from ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur youngster Milos Veljkovic is currently in Germany to finalise a move to Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.

The 20-year-old is highly rated at White Hart Lane, but with his current contract expiring in the summer and a new one not signed Spurs have little choice but to cash in or risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.

ESPN reports that Bremen have agreed to pay £500,000 for the Serbian who is equally comfortable at centre-back or as a holding midfielder, and the fee shows how talented he is, as that is still an impressive amount for a player with just three first-team appearances for his parent-club under his belt.

Loan spells at Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic have not gone quite according to plan, with just four appearances for the former and three for the latter, so Veljkovic will be hoping his mooted move to Germany pays off.

Veljkovic looks like being one of three Tottenham players to leave the club today, with Federico Fazio and Alex Pritchard tipped to move on loan to Sevilla and West Bromwich Albion respectively.
