Leicester City have been linked with a host of players.
The Foxes have surprised everyone this season as they currently top the table heading into February, 12 months on after being certain favourites to suffer relegation back to the Championship.
In spite of their remarkable position, the club aren’t willing to let up as they look to add one or two more to help the club get over the line in terms of a top four spot and ensuing Champions League football.
The former Newcastle United striker is a renowned goal scorer in the top-flight, and he will help take the burden off prolific duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez over the next three months.
The versatile Bordeaux ace can play both in defence and as a central midfielder, and he has been a key cog for the French side ever since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain 12 months ago.
Chantome is out of contract this summer, meaning Leicester may find it easier to pull off a deal as Bordeaux will be well aware they could lose him for nothing after the current campaign.
And the final acquisition for the East Midlands side could come in the form of another striker – Nigeria’s highly-rated captain Ahmed Musa, though they may have competition for his signature.
The Mirror reports that the Foxes have already seen a whopping £18.7 million bid rejected for the 23-year-old, yet that hasn’t stopped the club from pushing for a late deadline day deal.
Manchester United and Southampton are also accredited with an interest, though it appears Leicester are the frontrunners for his signature with CSKA Moscow perhaps willing to come to an agreement.
