Leeds fans are simply hoping this does not happen again.
It is transfer deadline day and Leeds United are one of 92 English league clubs hoping to make late additions.
What supporters do not want to see are last minute departures, especially if they are trolled by the club's own social media feed.
Amazingly this happened back in the summer of 2014, when the Leeds United club twitter account urged fans to stay up into the final minutes of deadline day so they would not miss the late deals.
Even then club captain Jason Pearce got suckered in, expressing his excitement, hoping to learn of a new teammate being signed.
Instead he simply found out two had made sudden exits, with the mystery news being that Leeds had sold Matt Smith and Dominic Poleon.
Smith's departure was the most surprising of the two, having only signed a new contract months earlier, and really Leeds could have done with keeping him rather than selling him to Fulham where he has never really settled.
If there are any late departures tonight, hopefully Leeds won't get their supporters hopes up otherwise once again - and any promises of late activity will be treated with scepticism.
