The West Brom forward has been linked with Newcastle and Tottenham.
There has been so much talk of Saido Berahino leaving West Brom already this Deadline Day that the 22-year-old may end up staying at the Hawthorns out of pure irony.
But, if he does move, two possible options for the young forward at Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. And Steve Howey believes there is hope for Newcastle when it comes to Berahino choosing them over the north London side, according to the Chronicle.
Indeed, despite the threat of the Magpies being relegated, the pundit believes Berahino could become a fans' favourite at St James' Park.
As much as Tottenham fans will love the West Brom man if he succeeds, however, Harry Kane is already their leading man up front.
Howey is quoted as telling talkSPORT by the Chronicle: "If I was Berahino’s agent, I’d look and think there’s a chance they could go down but also if I was him I think I could make a massive difference there if things go well and become a fans’ favourite.
"Steve McClaren’s bought two English players in (Andros) Townsend and (Jonjo) Shelvey, and it could be the start of something good.
"Then he could also ask for something in there whereby he can leave if they get relegated."
Spurs and Newcastle will no doubt continue to be linked with the 22-year-old for some time to come. Deadline Day won't be the end of it unless the West Brom forward does make a move before the time is up...
