Report: West Brom tell Swansea James Chester is available

West Brom The Hawthorns

James Chester could leave West Brom for Swansea City.

West Bromwich Albion could allow James Chester to leave the club just months after signing him.

The Mail's transfer deadline day feed reported at 10.40am that the Baggies have informed Swansea City he is available.

Swansea are yet to make a move, although The Mirror reported last night at 6pm that the Swans had expressed an interest in the defender.

Chester signed for the Baggies from Hull City on deadline day back in September, but has failed to establish himself at the club.

The centre-back has found himself played at full-back, and has not done himself justice with his performances this campaign.

Welsh international Chester began his career in Manchester United's academy and impressed with Hull last season despite their relegation.

This deal will be one to keep an eye on as transfer deadline day progresses, although it is unlikely the Baggies would agree a loan deal to a potential relegation rival.
