According to a report on the Daily Mirror’s live transfer feed on 31 January at 18:39, Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Joe Lumley is being tracked by three Football League clubs.
Lumley is regarded as a hot prospect at QPR, but there is a belief that manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink could be willing to loan him out.
The 20-year-old is unlikely to displace Alex Smithies as the club’s first choice stopper this season, and getting regular football could be crucial for his development.
Oldham Athletic, Swindon Town and Colchester United are all said to be willing to offer the youngster a chance to start in League One.
Lumley recently made his first two appearances for QPR - playing in their FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest and their Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers.
The youngster has also previously had loan spells with Accrington Stanley, Morecambe and Stevenage.
Lumley’s loan move could depend on whether Rob Green gets a move, as he could be required to be second choice at Loftus Road, if the experienced stopper does make a switch before the deadline.
