The former Napoli midfielder has struggled to make an impact since moving to the Premier League.
The Premier League leaders seem willing to allow the 31-year-old to leave the King Power Stadium during this window, as Sky Sports reports that they want around £2.28m as a loan fee for the Switzerland international.
Despite appearing to be the man pinpointed as the club's replacement for last season's talisman Esteban Cambiasso when he was signed in the summer, the willingness to allow the former Napoli man to move elsewhere highlights how Inler's move to the Foxes has not worked out.
He has arguably been the victim of Leicester's incredible rise to the top of the table. The impressive performances of N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater in the centre of midfield has meant that Inler has been restricted to just five appearances in the league.
And while the club's asking price seems quite high for a loan deal, it appears that they do not plan to stand in his way if a suitable offer comes in.
