Report: Leeds United and Nottingham Forest make late enquiries for Sone Aluko

Fulahm and Brighton both claimed to have offers knocked back by Hull City, report The BBC.

Four Championship clubs have failed with attempts to sign Hull City forward Sone Aluko, report The BBC.

Hull have decided against allowing Aluko to move, with Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, and Brighton and Hove Albion making enquiries.

Aluko featured for Hull in the FA Cup at the weekend but has been in and out of the side this season.

The 26-year-old Nigerian has made only five starts in the Championship, plus a further 11 substitute appearances, but has scored only one goal.

Last season he had an unsuccessful spell on loan with Wolves, and scored just one Premier League goal in 25 games.

His overall record stands at an unimpressive three goals in 58 appearances for Hull, but evidently Steve Bruce believes he is worth keeping around as the Tigers attempt to earn promotion.

The enquiries show that Leeds, Forest, Fulham and Brighton are all still trying to make late additions, but Hull's decision means they will need to look elsewhere.
