West Brom expect James Chester to remain with them beyond the close of the transfer window, Sky Sports reports at 15:55 on their live transfer blog.
The Baggies defender has been linked with an exit from the Hawthorns this summer, having had little impact at the club following his summer move from Hull City.
He has managed just seven appearances in all competitions, and the defender wants to be playing more consistently ahead of the European Championship this summer, when he has a chance to feature for Wales.
A move was expected before close of play today, but it now appears as if Chester will remain with the Midlands club in the second half of the season.
The report indicates that West Brom are expecting to keep ahold of him, with plans to use him in the second half of the season.
It is not stated as to whether Swansea or Leicester have submitted formal bids for the defender this month.
