Di Marzio’s report states how Alberto Paloschi’s move to Swansea has left the club short of striker options and in their quest to fill his void they have identified Eder as a potential solution.
Paloschi was Chievo’s key attacking threat this season, and his switch to the Liberty Stadium has left the Serie A side in desperate need of a quick replacement.
Eder only joined the Swans from Braga in the summer, yet he has spent much of the season on the periphery of the first-team prompting speculation over his future.
A number of clubs have been linked with him this month, and a report published by Di Marzio yesterday afternoon claimed he was also the subject of talks between Swansea and fellow Italian side Genoa.
Eder hasn’t been able to make the sort of impact he would have wanted upon moving to the Premier League, and Swansea’s latest acquisition now puts him well down the striking pecking order.
The Portugal international hasn’t featured in a league match since November, and should he remain at the Liberty Stadium, he may end up sitting out for the rest of the season.
The report goes on to say that Chievo have an offer ready for the forward, and it shouldn’t take too much to persuade Swansea in to agreeing a deal ahead of Monday’s deadline.
